We successfully manufactured a precision 6061 aluminum flared horn housing for an automotive speaker application. This deep cylindrical housing features a gradual flared mouth profile and presents significant machining challenges — including deep-cavity machining with long-tool chip evacuation and thermal managementetmulti-directional hole perpendicularity control across the cylindrical wall. Through optimized long-reach tooling strategies, advanced coolant delivery, and precision fixturing, we delivered dimensionally stable housings meeting all geometric requirements.
