Precision 6061 Aluminum Cantilevered Motor Housing with Warpage Control

We successfully manufactured a precision 6061 aluminum cantilevered cylindrical motor housing for a compact servo motor application. This asymmetric single-side cantilever design presented significant machining challenges — including unilateral warpage after cantilever machining, internal corner clean-out in cantilevered cutoutsetmulti-hole mounting pattern perpendicularity control. Through custom fixturing, optimized toolpath strategies, and precision machining sequences, we achieved dimensionally stable components with all critical features held to specification.
