We successfully manufactured a precision 6061 aluminum U-shaped bridge fixture base for an automation equipment application. This structural U-shaped base features vertical side walls with narrow internal slots and presents significant machining challenges — including corner clean-out in confined slot geometries, stress concentration crack prevention at wall junctionsetvertical wall deformation control during drilling operations. Through optimized toolpath strategies, stress-relief sequences, and precision fixturing, we delivered dimensionally stable fixture bases with a durable ceramic-like hard anodized surface for enhanced wear and corrosion resistance.

Each component underwent comprehensive inspection using CMM measurement for dimensional accuracy (±0.02mm), flatness (≤0.01mm), and wall deformation verification (≤0.02mm after drilling), supplemented by coating thickness testing (25-50μm) and visual inspection of internal slot corners.
